long ago, the sky was eternally dark. the soil, bright as day.

in these days of yore, a broken rock seldom haunts an immemorial star. on this rock graze masses of flesh, mistaking dreams for fusion and bellowing their song.

for this wastelands imperfections stemmed from a childish light; a light only known as the shining super god. surveying its gaudy landscape, tired and weary, it takes its nap.

1750 years of rest.

1750 vivacious dreams.

1750 tears of an ephemeral mind.

1750 hugs.

1750 broken rhetorics.

1750 vessels of LOVE.

an aching void echoes a soul crushing whimper, for the whale is in turbulent pain.

so lets just beat it to death. smile and throw ourselves in the trash. stay out of the woods, man.


sulfurshock is a game about nothing, completely unlike seinfeld which is a show that isnt about anything. huge difference.

its a game about the reality of void, and its crushing weight. things that dont matter. the stuff you dont even know you dont know. making real things fake and fake things real.

its also a game where elves incapable of uncertainty have homosexual nose buttsex with each other and you need to ride a busted tanker through an ocean full of loaded shotguns instead of water. you need to kill the actual real dilbert in this game. the existence of bread is a cosmic impossibility. and also the simpsons live on venus. this is not lol randem horseshit. ive been meticulously laying the groundwork of this crude garbage for the past 3 years.

i consider myself a photo editor way more than i consider myself a competent artist, so no, the pixel art isnt shitty on purpose. im kind of just bad. id also be lying if i said that a huge part of this game for me isnt just wanting to do weird shit with photography and archaic art programs.
